Sarajevo & Downtown Sarajevo

  1. Mrvica – The downtown not so hidden gem. It is a big place, with pastry shops and a food area. Tiny kitchen. They advertise local farm products. The food is good without shining. Prepare to wait if the place is crowded.

    The food quality consistently ★★★★
    Service Quality ★★★★
    Cleanness, especially bathrooms ★★★★

  2. Brunch Sa – is a fancy place popular mainly for its location, if you ask me. There are hundreds of coffee types. Barely enough choices for breakfast. The place is tiny, with too many tables. If crowded, there is a high risk of punching somebody. Not bad, overpriced. Too much for us.

    The food quality consistently ★★★★
    Service Quality ★★★★
    Cleanness, especially bathrooms ★★★★
    Prices $$$
  3. Klopa – The most annoying waiters. There is no espresso. The food is supposedly of local, bio origin. What pushed us back were the puffed-up and cocky waiters. Average food, terrible service, typical tourist trap.

  4. Metropolis – The local chain. Not bad, not great, just there. If you are running out of time, you can always go there, it is OK.

  5. FUKA Specialty Coffee & Smart Food – Cool atmosphere and tasty food. It is one of the few places with crafted coffee mix. Excellent location, our favorite place in the downtown area. Try it; you will not regret it.

  6. Barsa Restaurant Pizzeria – Probably the best pizza in town. Always busy, always crowded, favored by the locals. Not so creative breakfast, like the next one, go there for lunch or dinner. Good coffee.

  7. Dveri – Boring eggs for breakfast. Just don’t go there for breakfast. Go for lunch or dinner. That’s all, folks.
